The 2006 Stephens Cup is over.  Team Smail has prevailed
again.  This time it ended up being really close, 10-9.  The
Czerviks won 5 on the last day, but it was over at 10-7.  
Day 1 and 2 put the Czerviks behind the 8-ball, losing 4-2
both days.  The stars turned out to be surprise players.  
Joe Stephens went 4-0 for the Czerviks and Bob Stephens
went 3-0 for the Smails.  More details appear on
subsequent pages.

Perhaps the story of the entire weekend happened on the
first day.  Jack Stephens had a commanding lead against
Mark and Bob, up 5 with only 8 holes to go.  He collapsed,
losing 7 of the last 8 holes and lost both matches 2 and 0.  
This collapse appears to have made the difference for the
match.

The highlight of the Cup this year had to be the play of
Weldon Stephens, the Grand Bear of the event.  He was
able to compete in matches on Friday and Saturday and
won both matches.
